Watch Me Move
June 18th-July 11th Opening Reception: June 18 7-10pm! Closing Reception: July 9 6-9pm! Enjoy the Summer! In celebration of the energy that the summer season brings, our new exhibit “Watch Me Move” focuses on energy, life force, and soul. “Watch Me Move” will be on exhibit at Design Studio Art Gallery throughout the month of June and into early July. Design Studio Art Gallery will hold an artists’ reception on Friday, June 18th from 7pm-10pm.

HYATTSVILLE, MD (6-08-10) –Our new exhibit “Watch Me Move” will focus on how art can evolve into something that has life, energy, and soul! With focus on rhythm, movement, form, repetition, energy, and other elements that can be creatively combined to make a piece really "move" we welcome all forms of artwork for this exhibit!

Some buzz words that helped inspire us for this exhibit were: dance, fluidity, kinetic energy, connection, vertigo, pulsating, free-styling, soaring, geometry, rhythm, freedom, and expression. As we kick off the summer, let's get into motion and get into the ART!

We are also experimenting with performance art for this event. We have encouraged performing artists to contact us! We are welcoming all forms of art to showcase during the opening reception. Our opening reception will be held on Friday, June 18th, 2010 from 7pm-10pm. The exhibit runs from June 18th – July 11th, 2010.
